Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Restore us, O God; cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved! – Ps 80:3
The face of God brings 1) restoration and 2) salvation.
Have you suffered what feels like defeat, and are you in need of restoration? Seek His face! He will strengthen you when you feel weak. He will fill up when you feel empty.
Are you in danger? Seek His face. Our God is a strong tower (Ps 61:3). No matter how aggressive the enemy might be, He shields us from every attack. No matter how hard the winds blow and the rains fall, He shelters us from every storm!
Seek God’s face. He is all you ever need!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being El Shaddai, The All-Sufficient One! Your presence is all I need, and Your face is all I will seek, in Jesus’ name!
