This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages. – Josh 19:48
Different tribes were sent to different cities. Simeon had his cities (vv 2-8), Zebulun had his cities (v 15), and Issachar and Asher had their own cities too (vv 17-31). In other words, each tribe’s inheritance was different! Each son was sent to a different place.
Your task is not to save the whole world. Jesus already did that! Your calling is simply to go to the “city” or “village” (v 48) where God has called you to go, and preach Jesus Christ! God will give you specific vision for where to live, where to minister, and where to raise a family. Your task is simply to go where He has called you, and believe He has given it into your hand.
Prayer:
Father, I will go wherever You send me! Make me faithful to go into the cities and villages where you have called me. I know I don’t have to save the world; but I do have to open my mouth wherever you tell me to share the name of Jesus!
