Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
And now the Lord God of Israel has dispossessed the Amorites from before His people Israel; should you then possess it? – Judges 11:23

The Ammonites were coming to fight Israel. When Israel asked why, here was their response: “Because Israel took away my land when they came up out of Egypt, from the Arnon as far as the Jabbok, and to the Jordan. Now therefore, restore those lands peaceably” (v 13).

How did Israel respond! I don’t think so! Israel hadn’t taken the land from their enemies; God had given it to them. So why would Israel give back territory that God had given them, fair and square?!

God has given you territory through His word: complete healing in your body, absolute joy in your heart, and total prosperity in your finances. So don’t let the enemy convince you to give it up! When Satan comes and tries to tell you your destiny doesn’t belong to you, respond just like Israel did: I don’t think so! I know what God has given me, and I refuse to give it up!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for every gift You have given me. Give me the strength to resist the enemy, and to refuse to give it up. I will lay hold of the fullness of Your promises over my life, in Jesus’ name!
