Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever…” – Jn 14:16

Life is hard. You have more to do than time will allow. You have people to please and never enough time for yourself! Life can be exhausting. Life can be difficult!

So don’t do life alone. Jesus promised to give you His Holy Spirit, the Helper, to “abide with you forever.” That means that on your best day, He is with you; and on your worst day, He is still with you!

You can do this, because the Holy Spirit will help. Rely on God all the more. Don’t go one more day trying to do everything yourself. Ask God for help, and let His Holy Spirit do the work!

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. – Rom 8:11

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your Holy Spirit. I am so grateful for His presence in my life. I know that because Jesus died, Your Holy Spirit lives in me!
