Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. – Ps 127:1

The Lord builds, and the Lord guards. Not only will God build up your future and your destiny; He will also make sure whatever is built will stand the test of time!

You don’t have to be scared the enemy will take what God has given you. God will keep the enemy’s hands off, in Jesus’ name!

I used to be scared of the “price” I would have to pay to be in ministry. I know of many pastors and Christian leaders who have served God faithfully, only to have their family suffer. I would stay up at night, looking at our children, and fearing something bad might happen to them because the enemy was “mad at me” for advancing God’s Kingdom, and wanted to get me back!

But then one day I realized: Jesus already paid the price! You don’t have to be on guard all the time to make sure the enemy won’t attack you. God will guard you – and your life – in Jesus’ name! God will protect your finances. God will protect your children! He will protect every good and perfect thing He has established in your life, because He is good!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for not only building, but also for guarding. My life is off limits to the enemy, in Jesus’ name!
