Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. – Acts 10:44
When the word fell, the Spirit followed. All Peter had to do was speak the word of God over Cornelius and his household; and the entire household was saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues!
God’s word is powerful. Do you want the Holy Spirit to show up in your life? At your job? In your family? Proclaim the word of God! Where the word goes, God follows.
And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. – Mk 16:20
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the miracle-working power of Your word. Your word brings life! Give me the courage to speak it out, everywhere I go, knowing that You follow Your word, in Jesus’ name!
