Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour. – Acts 16:18

All Paul had to do was exercise his authority. He commanded an evil spirit to come out in the name of Jesus, and it obeyed! The demon responded to Paul the same way it would have responded to Jesus.

You are stronger than you think you are. You are filled with the Holy Spirit, and you are equipped with the name of Jesus. When you pray by His Spirit, in His name, mountains move! Take authority, and rise up into the calling God has given you.

Prayer:

Father, help me to rise up and exercise the authority You have given me! I want to be bold in word and deed. I know that demons flee at the name of Jesus!
