CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“And He has made from one blood every nation of men…so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us” (Acts 17:26-27). Are you curious about God? Do you wonder about eternal life? Are you sure something bigger than this life exists, but not sure exactly what? God made you that way. He implanted you with curiosity and confidence that the supernatural exists. He has given you those characteristics so that you will find Him through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Scratch the itch. Don’t spend your whole life wondering if God exists. He promises that when we reach for Him, He won’t be far.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for making us to find You! Thank You for filling us with curiosity and an instinctual desire to know You! Help me to grow in intimacy with You through Your Son Jesus Christ!
