Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? – Rom 10:14

Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved! But before you can call on Him, you have to believe. And before you believe, you have to hear. And how will you hear if nobody has the courage to preach?

There are people in your life who have not heard. Are you ready to preach? To “preach” is the Greek kerusso (Strong’s G2784), which means to publicly proclaim what has been done. To “preach” does not mean to stuff your unwelcome opinion down someone’s throat! It means to publicly and openly testify of God’s goodness: to tell the world that Jesus died for our sin, without apology!

Don’t hold back truth because you’re worried about what other people will think. There are people out there who need salvation! And it all starts when you open your mouth and share the Good News.

Prayer:

Father, give me the courage to share my faith openly. I want to be a faithful witness: to my friends, to my co-workers, and to my family; and even to people I don’t know!
