Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced that God had prepared the people, since the events took place so suddenly. – Chron 29:36

God loves to move suddenly. The people of Israel were far from God. They had forgotten how to worship. Their lives had become so busy that they didn’t have time to worship. The temple had become so cluttered that they didn’t have space to worship.

But suddenly, God changed all that. He moved their hearts to return to true worship. Before they knew it, the people were right back on track: in the perfect center of God’s perfect will.

Have you been distracted from God? Has your life become so busy and cluttered that finding time and space to worship is hard? Ask God to bring a suddenly into your life. He will return you to the place He wants you to be.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for sudden restoration! I want to live my life for you. Bring me back to a place of true worship, in Jesus’ name.
