Commentary from Pastor Mike White:

“So the Lord said to him, ‘What is that in your hand?’” – Ex 4:2

God will use whatever is in your hand for His glory. The specific object does not matter; He is willing and able to take whatever is in your possession, and use it so that His purposes are fulfilled.

Moses could have been holding a staff, or a spear; God would have used whatever he had available. So, if you’re a writer, write. If you’re a performer, perform. If you’re a communicator, fellowship with the people around you to cast God’s vision. God has given you the specific tools and capabilities you possess. He has uniquely designed you to reach a specific set of people, whom nobody else can reach, with a specific set of tools!

God made you on purpose. Do not let the enemy convince you that you don’t have the tools you need to be used by God. He will use whatever is in your hand to make His presence known to everyone around you!

Prayer:

Father, thank You that I am uniquely designed according to Your purpose! The same way Moses was designed to make a demand to Pharaoh that nobody else could; You have designed me for Your specific purpose on my life. I accept and say YES to Your will!
