Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household…” – Gen 7:1

Noah didn’t go into the ark alone; he brought his family with him. He had a responsibility to bring others inside the ark. If he failed to bring his family inside, they would have been lost!

The ark represents covenant relationship with God. The world would be destroyed in a flood; but no matter what, Noah and his family would be safe and sound inside their covenant with God. The wind would roar and the waves would swell, but Noah and his household would be safe. Our ark is the Cross. Because of Jesus, we have a New Covenant with God. No matter what happens in life, we are safe and secure inside our covenant, just like Noah was!

And now that we are safe, we have a responsibility to invite others into covenant with God through Jesus Christ. Our mission – the reason we are alive – is to invite other people into the ark. If we don’t invite them, they might never know Jesus; and if they don’t know Jesus, they are at risk when judgment comes!

Are you ready to get your family saved? Open up and share the Gospel; and then ask for help! If you plant the seed, the Holy Spirit will do the rest.

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him… – Jn 6:44

Prayer:

Father, I declare my whole family will be saved! Give me the words to speak to every single one of my family members – young and old – to tell them about Jesus. I trust You for the salvation of each and every single one.
