Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
And you have not kept charge of My holy things, but you have set others to keep charge of My sanctuary for you.” – Ezek 44:8

There are certain tasks God has given you that are not within your power to delegate. The Israelites were supposed to keep God’s sanctuary in order. Instead, they outsourced the task. They missed out on something God wanted them to have, because they left the most important work to someone else!

What has God given you to do as holy, that you have passed on to someone else? Intimacy is the most important factor in your relationship with God; but no one else can spend time in God’s presence for you! Prayer will absolutely change your life from top to bottom; but how often do we settle to ask others to pray for us, and fail to pray for ourselves? God’s word must be digested and meditated upon; but how many times have we expected pastors to dig into the word for us?

You can’t outsource faith. If you want to be impacted by God’s presence, you have to spend time in His glory!

Prayer:

Father, I can’t outsource faith! Help me to bring the most important things back in-house. I will dig into the word for myself. I will pray on my own! I will personally spend time in Your presence. I will love You with my whole heart, like never before, in Jesus’ name!
