Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. – 1 Jn 3:7

Do you want to know the character of someone around you? Don’t just listen to what they say; watch what they do. Do they lead by example? Do they practice what they preach? Do they make sure they’re present and available at critical moments?

Do you want to know what type of leader you are? Don’t just say the right thing; do the right thing. Don’t just rant and rave and criticize; make a positive impact and change the things you can! Motivate the people around you by becoming the type of person you’re asking them to be!

Whoever says one thing and does another is a deceiver; but whoever practices righteousness is righteous!

“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are…the true test of a man’s character is what he does when no one is watching.” – John Wooden

Prayer:

Father, make me a person of integrity! I want to practice righteousness, in Jesus’ name. I don’t just want to talk the talk; I want to walk the walk!
