Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies. – Num 10:9

I’m all for contemplative prayer and worship; but sometimes you just have to make some noise! When we get loud and worship God, He remembers us and saves us from our enemies!

When you go through something, are you loud about it? Do you keep it to yourself, hoping that no one will hear so you’re not embarrassed? Do you timidly accept your fate, letting the enemy walk all over you? Or do you sound an alarm, and invite God to come to your rescue?!

Don’t take whatever comes to you sitting down! Stand up and make some noise! Look how God invited His people to respond to their enemies: “sound an alarm with the trumpets.” When God’s people got loud, God remembered them!

Prayer:

Father, make me bold as a lion! Whenever something is not going right in my life, inspire me to make some noise. I want all of Heaven to bring me to victory, and all of Hell to know I cannot be contained, in Jesus’ name!
