Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, the waters that come down from upstream, and they shall stand as a heap.” – Josh. 3:13

God made a bold promise to Joshua; so Joshua boldly declared that promise for all the world to hear. Think about the risk Joshua was taking by declaring this in front of all the people of Israel. What if nothing happened? But Joshua didn’t think like we think. He didn’t hesitate! He heard the word of the Lord and stepped out in faith! Because the real risk is not boldly declaring what God has given you to say. The real risk is not fully trusting the word of the Lord as absolute truth. There is no real risk when God is with you and you are following His commands!

What has God promised you? And what has He told you to do in order to get there? Are you boldly communicating God’s plan and vision for your life? Are you laying it all on the line to show you really believe His word will come to pass?

Prayer:

Father, I want to be BOLDER. I want to be bold like Joshua, faithfully declaring the word of the Lord for all the world to hear. I know there is no risk of failure when I am with You. I love You, and I thank You, in Jesus’ name!
