Commentary from Pastor Mike White:

“And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?” – Lk 18:7

Our persistent prayers matter! Paul exhorts us to pray without ceasing (1 Thess 5:17). Jesus asks us to take it a step further: we are to be endlessly persistent, while also not losing heart.

The enemy will do everything he can to discourage you from prayer at the very moment you approach your breakthrough! We are always one prayer away from victory. Resolve to pray for your most urgent need just one more time. If you don’t see results, pray one more time after that.

Keep praying. Do not lose heart. Pray until your prayers are answered! Just one more prayer might be all God needs to hear.

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” – Lk 11:9-10

Prayer:

Father, help me to pray persistently. I know You never tire of hearing my voice. I also know I can never exhaust Your capacity to hear my prayers. Help me to pray without ceasing, and without losing heart!
