Commentary from Pastor Mike White:

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” – Lk 23:43

Jesus hung on the Cross next to two criminals. Both of those men were deserving of the punishment they received. Yet Jesus had done nothing wrong.

As they were dying, one of the men blasphemed Jesus, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us” (Lk 23:39). The other man recognized that Jesus Is the Messiah, and asked Him to remember him when He entered into the Kingdom of God. Jesus answered with a promise that his sins would be forgiven!

Salvation is possible up until our last breath. No man or woman is beyond saving. All of us deserve to die for our sins, but every one of us can receive everlasting life when we trust in Jesus Christ. Don’t wait until it’s too late: give your life to Christ, and rest in the fullness of His promise!

Prayer:

Father, thank You that salvation is a gift! I love You because You loved me first. I give my life to be used by You!
