CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“I will awaken the dawn” (Ps 108:3). David made a habit of praising God early in the morning. In fact, he woke up so early to praise that he could have been responsible for awakening the dawn. When we wake up and make praising God our first activity of the day, it sets the tone for everything we do. We remind all of heaven, and warn all of hell, that we have decided to devote our day to praising God. Praise early! Praise often. For He is worthy of our praise.
Prayer:
Father, remind me to praise You all the time! You are so good, and so worthy of my praise. I will make praise the first thing I do in the morning, and the last thing I do before I go to bed.
