CityLight Pastor Commentary:

The first few verses of Psalm 15 should be enough to make us all realize just how impossible it is to earn righteousness. The Psalmist lists a series of actions that are off limits if we want to enjoy God’s Presence, and an honest reflection reveals that all of us (Pastors included) are guilty! This is where grace comes in. Jesus Christ was sinless. He lived up to every standard the Bible ever lays out for mankind. He didn’t do it for Himself; He didn’t do it for fun. He did it for YOU! God loves you more than you can ever imagine, and He was willing to pay the ultimate price for a restored relationship with you. He gave His Only Son so that we would be redeemed.

Prayer:

“Father, thank You for Your grace! Thank you that Your Only Son served as a Sacrifice without blemish; a Spotless Lamb – and purchased righteousness for us because we could never afford it on our own.”
