Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. – Acts 13:38-39

Are you prepared with a simple Gospel presentation? You never know when you might need it! Paul was prepared when the moment arrived. He succinctly and powerfully summarized the Gospel, and invited the people in his hearing to make a decision for Jesus.

If you need some help, here’s an easy outline to share with your family, friends, and co-workers:

  1. No one is perfect (Rom 3:23)
  2. But God requires perfection (Rom 6:23)! This puts us in a bit of a pickle. How can we satisfy God if Heaven requires perfection, but none of us is perfect?
  3. Jesus was perfect for us (Rom 5:8). He died in our place and paid the penalty for our sin. He received the punishment we deserve, so we can inherit the righteousness He earned!
  4. When you believe in Jesus, you are “made perfect” in Him (Heb 10:14)! When you believe in Jesus, you are SAVED (Rom 10:9-10)!

Keep it simple. Be ready to preach the Gospel everywhere you go, and watch how God uses you!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for arming me with Truth. I have the Word of God, and I have Your Holy Spirit. Send me into places where people need to see Your love, and strengthen me to preach the Gospel with boldness, in Jesus’ name!
