Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Then Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city. And the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe. – Acts 14:19-20

Paul got stoned! He was left for dead! But everything changed when the “disciples gathered around him.” He rose up and went into the city. He sprang back into action and continued to do what God had called him to do! Every part of him that seemed dead came back to life.

Are you down for the count? Have you had obstacle after obstacle thrown at you this week? Surround yourself with disciples. As they gather around you and support you with their presence and prayers, everything will change!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for power in community. Whenever I’m having a hard time, surround me with people who are going to be rooting for victory in my life! I need help; and I know You will send it, in Jesus’ name!
