CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name” (Ps 147:4). You are significant, and you are loved! There are 7.172 billion people on the planet. In contrast, there are at least a septillion stars: that’s a 1 with 24 zeros added to it! Yet God calls them all by name. If He can intimately know 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars, don’t you think He can intimately know your wants, needs and desires? God loves you. More than that, He likes you. He has the hairs on your head numbered, and He calls you His child.
Prayer:
Father, You know me by name. You have every single inch of me memorized. You know my most intimate secrets, along with my wants and desires. I love You!
