Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. – Ps. 9:17

Does the United States feel like “hell” right now? It is because we have forgotten God. We don’t care what His Word says anymore! We don’t spend any time seeking His face, or listening to what He has to say.

But if we would just return to Him, He would take our hell and make it Heaven. He would give us leaders at every level of government – church, city, state, and national – who follow after His heart, and lead with integrity and honor:

“Return, O backsliding children,” says the Lord; “for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” – Jer. 3:13-15

It’s time to remember God. It’s time to give Him first place in your life! It’s time to put everything else on hold, and seek Him with all your heart, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer:

Lord, I repent for not seeking You. I’m sorry for all the times I’ve been too busy to care what You have to say! Help me to make time to listen to Your voice in prayer, and to read Your Word. I am living for You and You alone from this moment forward, in Jesus’ name!
