Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” – Rom 4:3

Belief is all you need for righteousness. “Believe” is the Greek word pisteuo (Strong’s G4100), which means to put your confidence in someone or something. To believe God means to put your confidence in Him: to trust Him more than you trust yourself.

Believe in Jesus. Trust Him! Faith made Abraham righteous before the law; and faith still makes your righteous after the law. God calls you righteous because of the Cross.

Prayer:

Father, I believe in Jesus! I know that faith makes me righteous, with no strings attached. Help me to enjoy my salvation, because it truly is a free gift!
