Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, one thousand seven hundred able men, had the oversight of Israel on the west side of the Jordan for all the business of the Lord, and in the service of the king. – 1 Chron 26:30

Israel was a big kingdom! King David knew it was impossible to be everywhere at once. So, he delegated trusted officials to carry out business on his behalf. When one of them spoke, it was as if the king himself had spoken. When one of them issued a decree, it was as if the king himself had commanded.

Jesus – the King of kings – has done the same with you! He has a big Kingdom to rule over! But before He returned to heaven, He delegated His authority to all believers (see Mark 16:15-18). That means you and me! When we declare His word, it is as if He has spoken. When we pray, it is as if He Himself prayed!

You have been given authority and power to carry out Kingdom business (Lk 10:19). Are you ready to use it?

Prayer:

Father, thank You for giving me authority over all the power of the enemy. Thank You for giving me dominion over my life, and inviting me to experience the Kingdom of God everywhere I go!
