Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent… – Gen 3:1-2a

“And the woman said. “As soon as Eve engaged with the enemy, she was as good as dead. God had told her the truth; yet here was the enemy, trying to convince her that God’s word was a lie. She didn’t have to respond; but she chose to.

How many times has the enemy come and whispered a lie to you? You won’t amount to anything. Your relationship can’t be fixed. You won’t get that job! You don’t have to argue with Satan; you simply have to ignore him and choose to believe God instead! The enemy comes, “…to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (Jn 10:10). He doesn’t do anything else; so replying to him – or even so much as thinking about what he says – won’t do any good!

You are a child of God. You are covered in the blood of Jesus! The enemy cannot touch you; so don’t even pay attention to him. Keep moving forward, do what God has called you to do, and don’t let anyone get in the way!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the blood of Jesus! I know the blood of Your Son Jesus Christ means I am immune to every attack of the enemy. He can’t touch me, in Jesus’ name!
