Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. – Rom 5:10

God doesn’t just restore you; He promotes you. He didn’t just reconcile you; He saved you by giving you His own life! God rescues us from our mess, and puts us back on solid ground. But He doesn’t stop there! Once we are back on solid ground, He lifts us up to meet Him face to face. If He rescued you when you were lost, how much more will He nurture and care for you now that you are found!

This is double restoration. God doesn’t just put us back together; He turns us into a new creation (2 Cor 5:17)! He changes us from someone we don’t want to be, into someone the world has never seen.

Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you. – Zech 9:12

Prayer:

Father, thank You for double restoration! I declare that, because I am in Jesus, I am a new creation. You have restored me, and You will promote me, in Jesus’ name!
