Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

…indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, …that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God. – 2 Chron 5:13-14

God blesses corporate worship. Can you encounter the presence of God alone in your home, in your personal prayer time? Absolutely. But God does something significant and special when we come together and worship Him in community with other believers.

When the people of Israel came together and praised God “as one,” the presence of God fell. Worship in unity attracts the presence of God! So come on out to church, and let’s get God’s attention.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for blessing corporate worship. I know the wine is in the cluster! Surround me with other believers who are willing to pursue You with their whole hearts, in Jesus’ name.
