Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

And the king said to her, “What do you wish, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given to you—up to half the kingdom!” – Esther 5:3

The king wasn’t mad when he saw Esther standing in the outer court. He wasn’t frustrated or upset because she had come to make a request of him. He was happy to see her. He was prepared to give her whatever she asked, up to half the kingdom. He was excited to fulfill her request!

Such will be God’s response as you lift your requests up to Him in prayer. You are coming “boldly to the throne of grace” (Heb 4:16), and He is ready to hear your prayers. God is not angry when you come to Him and ask for something. He delights in you, and He loves your prayers!

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” – Lk 11:9

Prayer:

Father, thank You for loving my prayers. I boldly declare I will never be afraid to lift up my requests to you. Help me to confidently ask for everything I need to walk out Your will for my life, in Jesus’ name!
