Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God… – 1 Cor 15:50
We will not fully inherit the kingdom of God until we are in Heaven with Jesus. But this should not cause frustration; it should inspire hope! Why? Because that means no matter how much satisfaction and joy you can know on this earth, there is always more. So if you think you’ve experienced the goodness and love of God in this life, you have a nice surprise waiting for you in the next!
No matter how much fulfillment you have experienced on earth, there is always more! No matter how much you think you already understand God’s heart, there is always more! God is infinite, and it will take all of eternity to experience the fullness of His joy. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait!
Prayer:
Father, thank You there is always more. Thank You that I am destined to inherit the kingdom of God. Help me to appreciate all the blessings You have given me in life, because I know they are just a shadow of things to come, in Jesus’ name!
