Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

I will wait for You, O You his Strength; for God is my defense. – Ps 59:9

Trust in the Lord! Then, wait. God’s timing is perfect; yours is not. Don’t try to make it happen on your own. God is your strength and your defense; so refrain from defending yourself, and let Him defend you!

Any time God’s people take matters into their own hands, disaster strikes. When Abraham and Sarah took matters into their own hands, conflict drove Hagar and Ishmael out of the house. When David took matters into his own hands, Uriah the Hittite lost his life and David and Bathsheba lost their son. When the children of Israel took matters into their own hands and went into battle without the Lord’s help, they were slaughtered!

Wait on the Lord. You don’t have to deliver yourself, because He will deliver you!

Prayer:

Father, give me supernatural patience! I know You are good, and I will wait on You for complete deliverance, in Jesus’ name.
