Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“They say, ‘If a man divorces his wife, and she goes from him And becomes another man’s, may he return to her again?’ Would not that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the harlot with many lovers; Yet return to Me,” says the Lord. – Jer 3:1

Israel had participated in sin after sin after sin! They had completely forgotten about God, and turned their backs to Him. Yet God’s cry to His people had not changed: “Return to Me.”

There is no such thing as too far gone for God. His heart is always the same: He wants you to return to Him! There is nothing you can do to separate yourself from His love. There is no day like today to turn back to your Father in Heaven, who loves you more than you can ever imagine!

“Return, O backsliding children,” says the Lord; “for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion.” – Jer 3:14

Prayer:

Father, I have made some mistakes. I haven’t always followed You! But today I am returning to You. I thank You that whenever I turn to You, You are there: no matter what, in Jesus’ name!
