Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying…”Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” – Jer 33:1,3
God wants your prayers to be bigger. Right now you’re praying according to your life experience. There is a certain level of breakthrough you believe is possible based on what you’ve seen God do before. But God wants to show you more! He wants to expand your definition of “possible,” because, “…with God all things are possible” (Matt 19:26)!
When we call to God, He will answer. He will shatter our expectations of what is possible, and show us the great and mighty things He wants us to pray for! There are things God wants you to pray for that you don’t even know! And the only way to find out is to ask.
Prayer:
God, if my prayers are too small in any area of my life, I want to know! Shoe me the great and mighty things You want me to pray for. Expand my definition of what is possible, in Jesus’ name!
