Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. – Ps 90:12

God is infinite! But our time on earth is not. Embracing the reality that life is short gives us wisdom to make every moment count.

Here are two things you can do to make the most of every moment:

1) Worship. When you get to Heaven, worship will no longer be voluntary. All will see the glory of God, and bow the knee to Jesus. Yet eternal glory is reserved for those of us who make a decision to worship Jesus now, while we still have the choice!

2) Witness. You don’t get to bring your stuff to Heaven with you. The degrees, promotions, raises, and nice things: all of that stays here when you go. But the people you lead to Jesus get to come with you! Invest in relationships, instead of obsessing over wealth!

Number your days. Use your time wisely! Ask God for a heart of wisdom, and trust that He will make every moment count.

Prayer:

Father, teach me to number my days. Give me a heart of wisdom to manage my time wisely, so I don’t waste a single moment!
