Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Then He spoke to the man clothed with linen, and said, “Go in among the wheels, under the cherub, fill your hands with coals of fire from among the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” And he went in as I watched. Now the cherubim were standing on the south side of the temple when the man went in, and the cloud filled the inner court. – Ezek 10:2-3

The prophet Ezekiel had a vision. He saw a “man clothed with linen” receiving instructions from God. When God’s servant exercised obedience – when he actually went out and did what God told him to do – the glory of the Lord filled the whole house!

This is so simple! God told His servant to “Go…”; and as the man went, the glory cloud – the manifest presence of God – filled the whole house.

Obedience releases God’s glory: His manifest presence. Do you want to experience the glory of God like never before? Do what God told you to do! As you go and do it, the glory of the Lord will overwhelm everything around you!

So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.” – 1 Sam 15:22

Prayer:

Father, make me a man (woman) of simple obedience. When You tell me to do something, I want to go out and do it, in Jesus’ name!
