Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
…for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. – Jas. 1:20

Will what you’re doing get you where you want to go? Will how you’re conditioning yourself to act build you into the man or woman God wants you to be? Your flesh and your anger – the “wrath of man” – cannot lead to righteousness. Doing what you want to do cannot get you where God wants you to go!

Every person who calls on the name of Jesus has one thing in common: our primary goal is (or should be!) to save souls. To introduce people to Jesus. So every time you act or react, ask yourself: is what I’m doing right now leading people to Jesus? Is what I’m saying right now communicating the heart of God?

It’s not about you. It’s about Him. If what you’re doing won’t get you there, it’s time to try something else.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I need Your help! I act and react in ways I shouldn’t all day long. It stops today. I’m going to lean on You like never before. I’m going to listen to You like never before! Change me, mold me, and form me into the man You want me to be, in Jesus’ name.
