Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. – Ps 118:24
Today is your day. Did you know God created today just for you?
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. – Ps 139:16
Today was fashioned for you. God made today on purpose, so you could live out the destiny He designed for you from the foundation of the world.
God wants today to be awesome; but how your day turns out is up to you. Will you rejoice and be glad? Maybe your life isn’t perfect. Maybe things didn’t turn out the way you wanted them to! But God still made today just for you. Will you make a deliberate decision to rejoice – to be full of joy – and to be glad, no matter what life brings your way?
God can change everything in an instant (see Genesis 1). Today is your day. He can do it! So rejoice and be glad!
Prayer:
Father, I declare that today is my day in Jesus’ name! Thank You for creating me on purpose. Thank You for designing today for me! I am going to walk out in obedience, step by step, and trust You today. I am going to rejoice like never before, in Jesus’ name!
