Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets… – Dan 2:28

Daniel was brought before the most powerful ruler in the world to interpret a dream. When Daniel arrived, he refused to make this about him. He refused an easy opportunity for self-promotion, in front of the most powerful man in the world! Instead, he made it all about God. He used his audience with the king to declare God’s goodness and glory: to advance Heaven’s agenda, instead of his own.

Daniel refused to promote himself; and in return, God insisted on promoting him:

Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts; and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon. – Dan 2:48

When God brings you before rulers and kings (Matt 10:18), will you be ready to give Him all the glory? Will you be prepared to seek His agenda, instead of your own?

Prayer:

Father, I am on this earth to make You famous. Help me to refuse excellent opportunities for self-promotion; and to instead tell people how good You are!
