Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Many are my persecutors and my enemies, yet I do not turn from Your testimonies. – Ps 119:157

Do you have persecutors and enemies? Do you have people making your life difficult? Are people around you – even your friends and family – rooting against you, instead of for you?

Keep your eyes on God’s word. The Psalmist declared to God that his enemies were many; yet he refused to turn from God’s testimonies, even for one moment. He would not allow any level of opposition to force him to take his eyes off God’s word.

Don’t get distracted. The enemy wants you to take your eyes off the promise. But keep your focus! What you face, you embrace. Keep your vision locked on the promise of God, and He will get you there in due time.

Prayer:

Father, give me focus. Give me vision! Free me from all distractions, in Jesus’ name. I know that as I keep my eyes fixed on you, my enemies will fade away.
