Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“The more they increased, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.” – Hosea 4:7

The more you “increase”, the easier it is to forget God. This is our natural tendency. When things are going poorly – when we’re broke, sick, and unhappy – we run to God. But when things are going well, we forget about Him! We pat ourselves on the back for success instead of thanking God. We compromise the lifestyle of prayer and humble reliance on God that positioned us for blessing in the first place!

Break the pattern. On the good days, run to Him. On the bad days, run to Him! Make the decision that with every passing day, you will rely on God more, and never less. God will increase you! But as He does, let your prayer be that you would always rely on Him more than ever before.

Prayer:

Father, I know You are the source of every blessing I could ever receive. I pray I would rely on You more and more with every passing day. I love You, and I bless You, in Jesus’ name!
