Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, ‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass…’” – Rev 2:18

Jesus has “eyes like a flame of fire.” And what does fire do? It burns. When you make contact with a flame of fire, the fire spreads. Fire can only come from getting close to Jesus in prayer. The word is intimacy. If you want to burn like Him, you have to spend time with Him! You have to get close to Him.

The more you stare into the eyes of Jesus – the more you seek God’s face in prayer! – the more your life will burn with passion and purpose. The more you focus on Jesus, the more every impurity will melt away. A passion for God will be ignited in you like never before, and you will experience God’s miracle-working power in every part of your life.

Jesus wants to start a fire in you. Are you ready to burn for Him?

“I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled” – Lk 12:49

Prayer:

Father, set me on fire for Jesus. I want to burn for You! I want intimacy with Jesus. I want to look into His eyes and seek His face. Thank You for the invitation to burn, in Jesus’ name!
