Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.” – Rev 10:4
There is a difference between personal and corporate revelation. John was writing down his entire vision of heaven for the generations of Christians that would follow him. God clearly endorsed his sharing the majority of his vision; yet here was a small piece God didn’t want John to share. God told him to seal it up, and keep this part a secret.
God will tell you some things to share, and others to save. Some revelation is corporate, and should be shared with the people around you; other revelation is private, and is meant for you and you alone. Wisdom is knowing the difference!
Prayer:
Father, give me wisdom to know what I should share, and what I should keep to myself! Thank you for the abundant vision You share with me because of the Cross.
