Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Rev 21:4). Death, sorrow, crying and pain. These are all on the list of things that do not exist in heaven. This is the promise we have in Jesus Christ: that when we trust in Him, He will grant us a place in heaven, by His side and in the glory of God, for all eternity. This is worth celebrating!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for reserving a place for me in heaven! Thank You that even though I could never earn it, Jesus Christ earned it on my behalf. He paid the ultimate price, and served as my Sacrifice, so that I could gain entry into Your kingdom: a place with no more death, no more sorrow, no more crying, and no more pain. Thank you for promising me relief from all the things of this world, in Jesus’ name!
