Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. – Prov. 10:25

The same situation will impact the “wicked” (he who does not follow God) and the “righteous” (he who follows God) in completely different ways. Why? Because their foundation is different.

Whoever follows Jesus will be founded on the rock:

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” – Matt. 7:24-25

But whoever rejects Jesus will be founded on sand:

“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” – Matt. 7:26-27

The winds of life will blow. Guaranteed! Unexpected and unpredictable things will happen in your life. But when your life is built on the Rock – your “everlasting foundation” – you will not be shaken, and you will not be moved.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for giving me Jesus as a foundation. He is the cornerstone: the chief Pillar in my life. Everything I do, and all that I am, is built around Him! Thank You for making my life stable and full of Your blessings, in Jesus’ name.
