Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
The wicked man does deceptive work, but he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward. – Prov 11:18
Keep sowing; the reward is coming. Whoever sows righteousness – in other words, whoever does the right thing when the wrong thing would be easy – will have a sure reward. We live in a world where sometimes doing the wrong thing seems like the only way to get ahead; but God has a better way.
Don’t get discouraged! Just keep sowing. Continue to honor God with your praise. Keep doing the right thing. Good seed takes time to grow; but it will yield quality fruit that stands the test of time.
Prayer:
Father, sometimes it’s hard to do the right thing. But help me to just keep sowing. I want to be a beacon of Your righteousness, in Jesus’ name!
