CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them” (Luke 4:40). Jesus is an equal opportunity Healer. God is not partial to individuals, or to churches. He wants every single one of His children to ask Jesus for healing: physical, emotional and spiritual. He wants every single one of His churches to pray for those very same things. God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb 13:8). If His will was to heal every sick person brought to Him then, it is still His will now. The age of signs, miracles and wonders is not past, just as the age of salvation is not past. If we can still go to Jesus to be saved, we can still go to Him to be healed.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that You don’t choose favorites! I don’t need to prove I love You to receive healing; I know I can have it because You already proved You love me! I accept it in Jesus’ Mighty Name!
