Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“Hear, O Israel: You are to cross over the Jordan today, and go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to heaven…” – Deut 9:1
The victories God gives you won’t make sense. The nations God would defeat for Israel were “greater” than Israel. The peoples God would destroy for Israel were “mightier” than Israel! But God would do it. He would destroy their enemies, even if those enemies were bigger and stronger. He would tear down their cities, even if they were, “…great and fortified up to heaven!”
What battles are you facing? Do you believe God will deliver your enemies into your hand? Do you believe He will give you victories that don’t make sense?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for victories that just don’t make sense. You cause me to prosper in every battle! I’m so grateful, in Jesus’ name.
