Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

“Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” – Lk 12:11-12

God wants us to have tough conversations without fear. He wants us to make important presentations without stress! Jesus told His disciples they would be put on trial and fight for their lives. They would have to defend the Gospel in front of magistrates and rulers! But God didn’t want them to feel any pressure; in fact, He told them to not even prepare!

The Holy Spirit will tell us exactly what to say, and exactly when to say it. All He needs from us is obedience: to open our mouths when He fills us with speech! What tough conversations have you been putting off? Launch into them – fearlessly – with full faith that God will have them for you!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for speaking through me. From this day forward, I declare that I will never be speechless. I trust that You will speak through me, in Jesus’ name!
