Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour. – Matt 8:13

What is God’s will when it comes to healing?

“I am willing; be cleansed.” – Matthew 8:3

Jesus was willing to heal then, and He is still willing to heal now. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb 13:8)! So don’t waste another moment wondering if God wants you healed! He does!

If God’s will is always to heal, then why are some people healed, but others aren’t? Faith. You receive what you believe. The centurion believed that Jesus healed! He believed in the healing virtue of Jesus so much that when Jesus offered to come to his house and heal his paralyzed servant in person, the centurion said, “…only speak a word, and my servant will be healed” (Matt 8:8). Jesus had never seen faith like this before! He had been openly mocked by the Jewish men and women who should have been expecting the Messiah; yet here was a Gentile man – one who was far from God – who understood true faith!

You don’t have to deserve a miracle for healing to happen. You don’t have to take a discipleship class to see supernatural things take place in your life! Just believe!

Prayer:

Father, give me faith for healing! I confess that I will receive what I believe; so help me to believe in your will to heal, and the power of the name of Jesus!
